Job Description
CPS Private Staffing is supporting an UHNW private family in Dubai with the appointment of an experienced and highly discreet House Manager.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for the full day-to-day operation of a large private household. The House Manager will lead the household team, act as the main point of contact within the home, and ensure exceptional standards of service, discretion and organisation at all times.
The role reports directly to the Business Manager / Chief of Staff and the principals, and requires extensive coordination with the PA, drivers, junior PA and senior butler.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working within a fast-paced private environment, supporting a principal with a busy private life and children, and travelling internationally with the family when required.

Duties
Operations
  • Supervise and coordinate all household staff daily, including butlers, housekeepers, chef and support staff
  • Carry out continuous checks on service standards, cleanliness and presentation throughout the property
  • Act as the main point of contact for the family within the residence
  • Liaise closely with the PA to coordinate daily schedules, drivers, security, nannies and external providers
  • Manage household stocks and ensure ordering reflects family preferences
  • Plan and deliver private events, including budgeting and coordination with external suppliers and staff
  • Step in to cover senior service roles (including butler duties) when required
  • Train and mentor new and existing staff to ensure consistent 7* service standards
  • Organise deep cleaning and special projects during family absences
  • Carry out daily spot checks and on-the-job retraining
  • Create and maintain detailed service and operations manuals
  • Continuously improve service systems and staff efficiency
  • Adapt service procedures following feedback from the family
  • Manage recruitment of all residential staff, including interviews, reference checks and selection
  • Maintain detailed job descriptions and service standards for all positions
  • Prepare weekly rotas for all household staff, including nannies and travel requirements
  • Monitor timesheets, overtime and payroll submissions to the payroll provider
  • Actively manage team performance, conduct regular meetings and address staff issues
  • Document performance and disciplinary matters and liaise with the Business Manager where required
  • Travel to other residences to support household operations, training and standards
  • Manage staff onboarding and compliance with local regulations
  • Support staff relations and issue resolution
  • Manage staff injury claims and reimbursements
  • Coordinate visas, immigration and international travel for staff
  • Prepare weekly hours and payroll documentation
  • Support termination processes in line with legal and HR requirements
  • Ensure all interior and exterior areas, gardens and outbuildings are maintained to exceptional standards
  • Oversee all repairs, maintenance and servicing schedules
  • Manage and supervise all contractors and suppliers
  • Maintain a detailed house and emergency operations manual
  • Implement preventative maintenance plans
  • Identify cost efficiencies and improvements to household operations
  • Review quotations and oversee approved projects
  • Prepare residences for the family’s arrival and organise temporary staff where required
Travel & Logistics
  • Work closely with the PA to manage complex travel and staff logistics
  • Oversee packing, packing lists and frequent travel changes
  • Travel with the family and in advance to prepare residences and holidays
Financial & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of all household expenditure
  • Monitor and control departmental and staff spending
  • Provide reports to the Business Manager and family accountants

Candidate Package

Candidate Profile Desired
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a House Manager within an UHNW or VIP private household
  • Proven experience leading large household teams in a hands-on capacity
  • Strong experience supporting a principal with children and a busy private lifestyle
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities calmly
  • Confident managing staff, suppliers and senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail and service standards
  • Highly discreet, emotionally intelligent and trustworthy
  • Flexible to work certain weekends, remain on call and work remotely when required
  • Available to travel internationally for short and extended periods (for example, London for 3–4 weeks)
  • EU or UK passport with the right to work in the UAE
