About the Role
CPS Private Staffing is recruiting an exceptional Governess & Lifestyle Assistant on behalf of an UHNW international family.
This is a unique opportunity to support the Principal's wife and youngest son whilst becoming an integral part of the family's daily life. The successful candidate will combine educational support, lifestyle assistance and household coordination, ensuring the smooth integration of school, home and family life whilst based in Massachusetts.
The family have an international lifestyle, with residences globally. As trust develops, the successful candidate will become a valued extension of the family and wider support team.
Key Responsibilities
Educational Support
Provide educational guidance and mentoring to the family's youngest son.
Support homework, assignments, revision and examination preparation.
Encourage independence, organisation and effective study habits.
Liaise regularly with teachers, faculty advisors and the school to ensure all academic requirements are met.
Coordinate school schedules, assignments, assessments and extracurricular activities.
Organise school trips, visits and educational logistics.
Arrange play dates and coordinate with other families where appropriate.
Ensure the child's educational, personal and developmental needs are consistently supported.
Lifestyle & Family Support
Assist the Principal's wife with day-to-day organisation and lifestyle management.
School drop-off and collection.
Grocery shopping and household provisioning.
Running personal and household errands.
Diary and calendar management across multiple family members.
Coordinate medical appointments, personal appointments and extracurricular activities.
Maintain awareness of the family's travel schedule and daily whereabouts.
Support travel planning and logistics when required.
Household Coordination
Liaise closely with the Chief of Staff and Housekeeper to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the household.
Assist with inventory management and household organisation.
Coordinate utilities and household administration where required.
Ensure the home operates efficiently and proactively identify tasks before they arise.
Administration & Financial Support
Maintain accurate Outlook calendars and schedules.
Coordinate appointments and family commitments across multiple time zones.
Record and manage expenses accurately.
Assist with budgeting and day-to-day financial administration where appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Governess, Tutor, Educational Mentor or Family Assistant within an UHNW or HNW household.
Native English speaker.
Educational background or tutoring experience is essential.
Driver essential.
Right to work in the USA.
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
Able to anticipate needs before being asked.
Calm, discreet and emotionally intelligent.
Comfortable living within a private family residence.
Flexible and willing to grow with the role over time.
Strong administrative and diary management skills.
Long-term mindset with excellent references.
Living Arrangement
This is a live-in position based within the family's home in Massachusetts.
The successful candidate will have exclusive use of a private bedroom within the property and will become part of a respectful family environment. As this is a shared household, mutual respect, professionalism and consideration for others are essential.
The successful candidate will join an established support structure, working alongside the family's Chief of Staff and household team whilst becoming a trusted and valued member of the family's day-to-day life.
